Salt + Pepper Tofu and Panko Prawns
Create a labour light and delicious entree plate with panko prawns and salt + pepper tofu. Serve with a Fresno chilli hot sauce to deliver an upmarket dish that is ideal as a shared plate or starter. The salt + pepper tofu can be kept warm in an oven, the Fresno chilli sauce scaled up and 'ready to go' leaving just the panko prawns to be deep fried in a matter of minutes. This dish can be on tables within minutes while main orders are prepared. Turn tables, maximise profits and keep your patrons happy with this exceptionally fast and simple entree.
For the Fresno Chilli Hot Sauce
Cook chillies and garlic in a large saucepan of boiling salted water until chillies turn bright red, about 2 minutes; drain. Blend chillies, garlic, and vinegar in a blender until almost smooth; season with salt. Let cool.
For the salt and pepper tofu
Oven bake. Cook from frozen. Product must be thoroughly cooked prior to consumption. Preheat oven to 200°C (190°C forced). Place frozen snacks in pre-heated oven and bake for 14 – 17 minutes until golden brown. Ensure snacks are hot in the centre.
For the panko prawns
Deep fry 180C 4-5 minutes
